Interra — Fire Incident Reporting Platform
Client engagement (Motive, offsite) at Capital Numbers building FastAPI endpoints and responsive UI workflows for an early-stage, real-time fire incident reporting platform, enabling incident submission and direct communication with authorities.
Overview
Core feature development for Interra, an early-stage real-time fire incident reporting platform built for Motive — enabling people to report incidents and reach the right authorities without delay.
The Challenge
As an early-stage product, the platform needed its core reporting features built from the ground up: fast incident submission and a direct line of communication to authorities, with no existing groundwork to build on.
Approach
Developed FastAPI endpoints for fire incident reporting — receiving, validating, and routing incident submissions
Built the incident submission flow in React.js and Next.js, prioritizing speed since incidents are time-critical
Implemented the communication workflows connecting submitted incidents to authority-facing views via REST APIs
Established the core reporting feature set as the foundational layer for the platform's early-stage build
Delivered the core, real-time incident-submission and authority-communication features that formed the foundation of Interra's early-stage product build.
